Nana Adobea Sikapa Foundation Brings Easter Joy to Gyakiti: Donation Reaches Aged, Widows, Students, Teachers & Youth football Clubs April 4-5, 2025 | Gyakiti, Eastern Region, Ghana.

Gyakiti community was filled with gratitude and celebration this Easter as the Nana Adobea Sikapa Foundation hosted a two-day outreach to support the aged, widows, school children, teachers, and youth football clubs across the town.

Held on April 4th and 5th, the Easter donation drive delivered essential items, learning materials, and sporting equipment to hundreds of residents, reaffirming the Foundation’s commitment to Service to Humanity in Gyakiti and beyond.

Bringing Relief and Hope to the Most Vulnerable

The outreach began with visits to the aged and widows in Gyakiti. Foundation volunteers distributed clothes, rice, and food hampers to help families mark Easter with dignity and joy.

“We see our elders and widows as the pillars of Gyakiti,” said a Foundation representative. “Easter is a time of renewal, and we wanted them to feel seen, cared for, and remembered.”

Many beneficiaries expressed heartfelt appreciation, noting that the support came at a time when rising living costs made basic needs difficult to meet.

Empowering the Next Generation: School Children & Teachers

On day two, the focus shifted to education and youth development. School children received math sets, socks, and learning materials to support their academic journey.

Teachers in Gyakiti were also recognized for their service with Easter hampers as a token of appreciation for their role in shaping the community’s future.

In a special boost for local trades, hairdressers received hand dryers, while sewing machines were donated to support women in tailoring and small business development.

Investing in the Youth through Sports

Recognizing the power of sports to unite and inspire, the Foundation presented footballs and trophies to youth football clubs in Gyakiti. The donation is intended to encourage discipline, teamwork, and healthy competition among young people.

Local coaches and team captains welcomed the gesture, noting that quality equipment is often a barrier for community teams. “This will motivate our boys to train harder and dream bigger,” one coach shared.

The Nana Adobea Sikapa Foundation remains dedicated to creating sustainable impact in Gyakiti through Education, Health, Livelihood Support, and Community development.
